Lynne Townsend - Photographer & Creator of Agate Stone Night Lights
As an Artist . . .

The artist, Lynne Townsend, creates these one-of-a-kind lights out of a love for nature. "I feel that life is about passionately doing what you love. My passion for the past twenty-two years has been photographing nature. That love of nature has also become my inspiration for hand painting wildlife silhouettes and nature scenes on agate stone.

"Similar to photography, in which each day holds different shadows and light, working with agate is in many ways very similar for no two stones are ever the same. The uniqueness of the stone both in shape and luminosity totally changes its personality. The agates uniqueness will guide me on what is painted and how it will be displayed on the stone. When lit, the natural beauty of the stone is illuminated casting a soft glow. Each person will be drawn to a particular agate for a variety of reasons, making the selection a truly personal experience."
